Biography
Edir Macedo, born in Rio das Flores, Rio de Janeiro, founded the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God in 1977 with limited resources. He used radio and television including Rádio Copacabana to expand the ministry globally, reaching countries such as the United States and Argentina, despite legal challenges and false accusations. After 22 years of effort, he inaugurated a cathedral in Los Angeles, symbolizing the growth and resilience of the church.
